Dr. Evans Duah Honoured, Receives "Most Influential Young Economists in Sub-Saharan Africa" Award

Dr. Evans Duah, a lecturer at the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), is one of 30 young economists selected for this year’s 30 Most Influential Young Economists - Sub-Saharan Africa award by The Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE). This recognition was after a careful selection and review of Dr. Duah's profile, credentials, and impact by the Institute’s selection panel.

The ICCE is a professional body for economists with a shared common vision of raising economics professionals through the Chartered Economist program. According to the ICCE, this award is aimed at “celebrating new economic thinkers and rising economists who are influencing positive change across their country's economy.” This year's edition has featured about 30 young economists from seven different countries in the Sub-Saharan region.


Dr. Duah Evans is a demonstrable, experienced, and astute finance and business consultant, lecturer, entrepreneur, and author. He is a Chartered Financial Economist (ICCE, USA) a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CIMA-UK, and CGMA, AICPA-USA), a Chartered Accountant (ICA Ghana), a Chartered Investment Analyst (CGIA, USA), an expert in corporate governance (IoD Ghana and CILG USA).


He holds a Doctorate and an MPhil in Business Administration from Swiss Business School, Switzerland; an MBA and a BBA from ENCG-Agadir; Project Management and CSR EFMD CEL accredited Certificate, France; and an EAP Certificate in Financing and Entrepreneurship from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA, and Leadership in Business from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. He is a French and English-trained business expert with over a decade of experience in banking, finance, and business consultancy with experiences in France, Morocco, and Ghana.


Dr. Duah is a former award-winning banker with Société Générale Bank, the CEO/Chief Consultant for Xtart Biz Consult - consulting for both private and public institutions and playing major roles in many business start-ups, merger-acquisition, fundraising, partnership, and feasibility studies. He is the Summit Director for Ghana Investment Development Summit (GIDS). He is the author of the best-selling book “Intentional Wealth 2.0 – Building with The Pentagon Wealth Model” and the Founder/President of the emerging think-tank and training centre, African Institute of Business and Leadership Excellence (AiBLE). He is a US Department of State Mandela Washington Fellow. Among his many volunteering and community engagements, he runs The Duah Mentoring (TDM) Club 100 Program, where yearly he mentors 100 young people who are between the ages of 18 years and 40years at no fees to them in business, personal finance, entrepreneurship, career guidance, and leadership.


With his experience, exposure, and rich network, Dr. Duah has positioned himself as a strategist and a leading voice in the finance, banking, economics, and entrepreneurial space in Africa and beyond. He aims to build a formidable business incubator that creates a platform for entrepreneurs to leverage global and local opportunities in Africa to inspire all in academia, business, and entrepreneurship.
